Il fera beau demain – Proulx – Demers

Over the years, Simon and Olivier have often collaborated on the projects of many other artists, both in the studio and on stage. Given the pleasure they have always had playing together and the ease with which they combine their different musical roots and influences, the idea of a more personal and structured collaboration as a duo began to float around… but never materialized, due to lack of time. However, it is finally the pause forced by the pandemic which will have allowed them to settle down, precisely, and to lay the musical bases of what was going to become this first disc, Il fera beau demain.
The two guitarists, who had a bunch of compositions in their drawers just waiting for the perfect opportunity to exist, started to send each other demos and to compose new pieces. They quickly realized that there was a surprising kinship between them.
A serene record, which sows a part of renewal after all that they lived for two years – hence the title of the album and the choice of the illustration, created by Julie Beauchemin. Light, therefore, but also a clear desire to turn to acoustic instruments.
